What are assembly model kits?
Assembly model kits are kits containing parts (in general, unpainted plastic, wood, metal, etc...) to construct a scale model, which is a representation or copy of an object that is larger or smaller than the actual size of the object. At Aaron's Hobbies, we sell almost exclusively miniature model kits. An example of a common scale for models and miniatures is 1/32 scale, in which one unit (such as an inch or a centimeter) on the model represents 32 units on the actual object. We generally show photographs of completed models on our listings to help shoppers get a better idea about what the items looks like after it's completed, but keep in mind that the kit being sold contains an unassembled model. Unless otherwise specified in our listing, all models sold at AaronsHobbies.com are assembly model kits.
Does Aaron's Hobbies own inventories of items it sells online?
Yes! Aaron's Hobbies keeps its own inventory. We procure our own inventory, and we inspect each item by hand to ensure quality before making it available for sale. When you place an order with Aaron's Hobbies, we ship it; not placing an order from another source or from a drop-shipper. Our inventories are kept in real-time, and "Stock Status" on the item page lets you know how many units of a particular item we have left in stock.
How long does it take to receive my order?
Most orders placed on AaronsHobbies.com ships within one business day after your order is placed. Depending on the shipping method of your choice, you can expect delivery in 2 to 7 business days. Please consult our Shipping Information page for more details.
Can I cancel an order?
Yes. Our orders are fulfilled by Amazon.com, and you can cancel any item from your order provided that the order has not yet entered the shipping process. Orders are generally processed and shipped within 1 business day, so if you wish to cancel an order, please do so as soon as possible. Once an order has entered the shipping process, it cannot be canceled and the item must be returned for a refund. To cancel an order, log-on your Amazon.com account or by calling 1-866-216-1072 for assistance.
To cancel an order online, visit the order information in Your Account. Once you've reached the order information section, click the "Cancel Orders" button. On the next page, click the checkbox next to any item you want to cancel. Be sure to click the "Cancel checked items" button when you are finished. If the item you want to cancel has already entered the shipping process, it cannot be canceled by you or by our customer service department. However, you can return the item for a refund. Can I return an item?
Aaron's Hobbies wants you to be totally satisfied with your purchase, and we will accept any items ordered from us within 30 days of receipt. Please consult the Return Policy page for more information on returning products.
Do you backorder not-in-stock items?
No, Aaron's Hobbies don't backorder items. Our inventories are replenished continuously, so most out-of-stock items will generally become available again within 3 weeks (with the exception of items which are in short supply).
