Nimitz Class carriers can carry up to 90 fixed wing aircrafts and helicopters, and with speed of 30+ knots and essentially unlimited range, the USS Nimitz and her sister ships afford the President of the United States the badly needed strategic initiative when major crisis anywhere in the world breaks out. The awesome beauty of the USS Nimitz can sometimes be seen near its home port in San Diego, California.
