AFV Club Models 1/35 M36 Jackson" Tank Destroyer (WW II Type)"
|CHOKING HAZARD -- Small parts. Not for children under 3 yrs.|
Highly detailed 1/35 scale assembly model kit of the M36, a World War II era tank destroyer fielded by the United States Army. Nicknamed the "Jackson" after Civil War Confederate general Stonewall Jackson, the M36 tank destroyer was also known as the 90 mm Gun Motor Carriage, M36. The M36 was developed to counter the heavily armored German tanks such as the Panther and Tiger tanks. Fitted with a 90 mm M3 main gun, the M36 was able to engage the heavy German Panther and Tiger tanks beyond 500 meters, and being able to take out the deadly Tiger and Panther tanks from distance was an advantage badly needed by the U.S. Army towards the end of the war. Some 1,400 M36 of all variants were produced during the Second World War. This AFV Club 1/35 scale assembly kit features: All new tooling open top turret with finely detail interior. *Moveable suspension system. *Aluminum barrel with rifling. *Functional recoil compensation system. *All new hull and chassis with correct detail.

This a model kit not a toyNov 09, 2011

I am an avid model builder, and would only recommend this kit to experienced model maker, it is far from being a toy to play with as such, it took me approximately five weeks to paint and assemble this model and it turned out great. Caution if you have small children do not leave the kit contents out where they can get at it due to choking. This kit is not for beginners by any means. It is not a toy for children to play with!!
I read some reviews of kits where customers complain of too many small parts, unfortunately that is what plastic model kits are. I would like to see Amazon put model kits in their own category instead of toys, which is misleading. One humorous thing about my kit I received, it smelled moldy like it has been stored somewhere damp!!!
If you enjoy making models this kit is a must, and would to a great addition to your collection.
